Silence
Simeon, the son of Gamliel, used to say: All my days I grew up among
the sages, and I have found nothing better for a person than silence.

Commentary: We all need some quiet time for ourselves. Modern scientific
research has documented in recent years the beneficial effects of frequent
rest. On another level, silence can refer to individual prayer
and meditation. Biblical references to such
sacred silence can be found in Zechariah 2:17,
Chabakuk 2:20, and Psalm
