CHET
The Hebrew letter Chet connects
the path from Tiferet to Chesed. Chet stands for Chai (live) and Chaim (life).
Chet has a numerical value of 8 which is the same as Aheiv, "he loves,"
and when spelled out in full (chet-yud-tav), Chet has a numerical value
of 418 which is the same as Ahhavti, "I love". Hence, we see that
Chet is connected with both our life force and with love. This, of course,
is also reitereated by modern medicine which has shown how feelings of love
boost and stimulate the immune system. By focusing on the life within us
and by increasing those feelings of love within us, we travel that path
from Tiferet to Chesed.
Exercise:
Feel the force of your own life and then let
yourself become aware of the life force within others. You will sense that
the same Source of Life connects us all. In this way, love for others will
develop, and you will travel the path from Tiferet to Chesed.
