Once more the process of formation is described. Permuting refers to rearranging the elements that make up our personal reality. Weighing refers to the level of importance or amount of attention that we invest in particular parts of our reality. Transforming refers to how we combine fundamental parts to create new wholes. For example, we can take certain permutations of letters, and combine them to form a "word" which, in turn, is a whole that is more than the sum of its parts. Similarly, an artist takes a permutation of various colors and forms a painting that is a transformation of component parts into something which did not previously exist. By permuting, weighing, and transforming fundamental parts of reality in this way, we can form all that we can ever experience. However, the statement that "all that is spoken emanates from one Name" reminds us that all form originates from One that is beyond form, and thus, the process of creation from the One is once again much like going to the ocean and rearranging the water. We have the experience that we have changed the order of things, but the One remains the One no matter how permute it. This is the fundamental paradox of reality. The world is simultaneouly always changing and always changeless. We cannot resolve the paradox by means of classical logic. We can only experience it and be aware of the experience.
Many of the passages is the Sefer Yetzirah can lead to very deep mathematics. For those who already have training in such things, contemplate the processes of permuting, weighing, and transforming with respect to "permutation groups", "chain groups", and "quotient structures".
