Return Home

One of the goals I have had with my page is to share some of the great sights from offshore. This was my first run at it and will try and post more as I go along.

This shot is facing south east, 65 miles offshore Freeport, Texas. The lease block is High Island 511.

The shot below was of a storm that blew in on us on August 3rd, 2002. High Island Block 530.

This storm was moving very fast and packed some pretty high winds. Seas went from very calm to 4' in about 30 minutes. Then, as suddenly as it came, it was gone.

The clouds where what impressed me the most. The sky was greenish blue but I saw no funnel. Often with these skys you get waterspouts.

The next shot is High Island Block 539, the rig Rowan Louisiana on a drill job. The workboat in the foreground is being offloaded.

We started working this job in early December. Some days are calm but others, well it is winter.

Ok, that is enough for now, e-mail me if you want to see more. Also e-mail me and I can send you some hi res full copies. Be sure and check out the galleries and visit the page now and again, i change it up.
