"The EX guitars are a tribute to the sophisticated skills of the guitar designer. And the electronics engineer.

Both the EX-1 and EX-2 feature three specially-wired, high-output pickups. A configuration that will deliver just about any sound you're after, including a variety of hot humbucking tones.

These guitars also have the Fender TBX tone control, a double duty feature that acts as both a conventional tone control and an output/high end boost.

Plus, they're equipped with a frequency gain switch (on/off) that gives you a 10-12 dB boost. And a frequency sweep control that lets you dial in precisely where you want that boost to happen. Use the sweep control to boost or roll off highs and lows for better shaping of your distortion sound.

On the supreme EX-2, we set the maple neck into the alder body. And top that body with two pieces of highly figured flame maple-a striking contribution to the art of performance."
